Azienda Agricola La Torre Antica

Our family owns and manages the holidayfarm Torre Antica (OLD TOWER) which is located in the Tuscany Area known for the Chianti Wine.

In our property there are many fields and we personally cultivate wineyards, olive trees and vegetable garden.
The guest house is situated in the open country, along the Francigena route near the Santa Maria a Chianni church and far from trafic.

The huose is reachable bay 1800 mt dirt road. We are in the municipal district of Gambassi Terme, situated near Certaldo, San Gimignano, and Volterra.

We guarantee a very relaxing stay in a peaceful place full of natural beauties.

We give hospitality in an old luxury country house with a XII TH century tower with firt-class treatment.

The house has 9 double rooms (one of these in the tower) all with bathroom, price included breakfast we provide rooms with bed and bath linen with weekly change.

It is possible to make a reservation for dinner in our family restaurant, with typical tuscan menu at very intresting prices.

From the OLD TOWER house you can easily reach Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra and Certaldo (famous for the summer festival called MERCANTIA, from the 1 st to 15th of july) there are beautiful walks from here (you can reach San Gimignano) mountain-bike tracks and near the guest house there are the Thermal Baths of Gambassi.

During the evening you can relax with delicious typical tuscany dishes, good and genuine wines in our restaurant or you can visit any of the village festivals very frequent in our country (truffles, mushroom, wine, cheese, chestnuts...).

Starting from next spring a private swimming-pool will be an available for our guests in addition to the wide greenarea.
From our wine-cellar you can buy goods we produce as wine and oil.

How to reach the bed and breakfast
Leave the highway A1 (Autostrada del Sole) at the exit Firanze Signa and drive further taking the freeway S.G.C. FI-PI-LI in the direction of Pisa /Livorno.

Leave the freeway at the exit Empoli Ovest (Ponte a Elsa) and follow the signs for SIENA - Castefiorentino.

After approx 15 Km you will reach Castelfiorentino, drive further following the sings for Gambassi Terme-Volterra.

In Gambassi Terme continue always in the direction of Certaldo.

After 1 Km follow the sings in direction LUIANO and La Torre Antica (to right, 1800 mt of unpaved road).
