Agriturismo San Federico

The rural accomodation is a few kilometres from the sea at a strategic point for visits to the cities of Art. It covers an extension of 25 hectares (60 acres) and is situated in the valley of the river Cecina. A section of the land is cultivated with cereals and forage; the farmhouse is on part of the remaining land which extens along an area of hillside bordered by a wood which is made up of typical Mediterranean maquis vegetation. Possibility of excursions to the neaby river and to the woodlands of the valley's natural reserve. It is possible to taste the products of the farm and, with booking, also typical Tuscan cuisine. Shops for first necessities 1500m away at Ponteginori. The house has been restored and trasformed from its original structure, creating three apartments, one of which is inhabited by  the owner. The apartment are independent, large and also confortable, furnished in Tuscan dtyle with valuable antique furniture. There is a large, illuminated garden which is equipped with gazebos, barbecue.

The Podere San Federico is in Ponteginori, a small hilly medioeval village in the district Montecatini Val di Cecina (southern province of Pisa),: where nature and the pleasant climate make it ideal for summer and winter holidays alike while the nearby “art” cites and medieval villages permit historical and cultural visits. The Podere San Federico is only Km away the “Costa degli Etruschi”, the most beautiful part of the Tyrrenian coast, where it’s possible to admire and visit the islands of the Tuscan Arcipelago  and the fantastic Elba Island.

How to reach the bed and breakfast

From A1 (Florence) : Exit Florence Certosa Take the (superstrada) in the direction of Siena; at the exit for Colle Val D'Elsa, take the road (SS n° 68) to Volterra, but Keep going straight on towards Saline di Volterra, Ponteginori. After 1,5 Km you see Podere San Federico

From A12 motorway: Take the last exit from the A 12 (Rosignano Marittimo), then take the (superstrada) in direction of Grosseto-Roma, at the exit for Cecina Nord, take the road (SS n° 68) towards Volterra; after the village of Casino di Terra, after 6 Km you see Podere San federico.

Von der Autobahn a1: ausfahrt: Firenze-Certosa, weiter auf der schnellstrasse Firenze in Richtung Siena, Ausfahrt: Colle Val d'Elsa. Folgen Sie Landstrasse nr 68 Richtung Volterra.. Fahren Sie weiter Richutung Cecina, uberholen Saline di Volterra, etwa 8 Km erreichen Sie de Ort Ponteginori, am meter 1.500, befindet sich auf der rechten unser Podere San Federico.

Von der Autobahn A 12: Ausfahrt Rosignano Marittimo (letzete) Ausfahrt der A 12); Nehmen Sie die Schnellstrasse Richtung Grosseto Roma, Ausfahrt Cecina Nord; Fahren Sie weiter auf der Landstrasse SS68 in Richtung Volterra, uberholen Casino di Terra, etwa 6 Km Erreichen finden, Podere San Federico.
