Farmhouse Il Monte

Our house is in higer position respect to the village of Terricciola, detached but close to the other houses and in five minutes you can walk down to the village center.

The house is divided into two completely restored and independent apartments. The upper flat (Apartment Volterra) has got a balcony (5x5m) with a wonderful view of Volterra and the sorrounding hills. The ground floor apartment (Apartment Terricciola) has a big porch (11x4m) which opens directly onto the garden and where you can even cook (barbecue).
Both the flats sleep 4+1 people, they have a good standard level (T.V., dishwasher, fridge, oven, hoover, microwave oven). Around the house there is a large garden with big trees and a lot of meadows that belong to the house.

Terricciola is an ancient and rural village (about 900 inhabitants) of etruscan origins. It is situated on a hill in Valdera, a zone full of history and beautiful landscapes.

In the village of Terricciola you can find: 2 bars, 3 small food shops, 3 baker's, 1 butcher's, 1 catholic church and chemist's,1 pizzeria, 1 enoteca/restaurant. In 5 km you can find 2 supermarkets and 2 public swimming pools. The area has an historical tradition of great wines and you can easily buy genuine local products. You can find fresh fruit and vegetables directly from producers.

How to reach the bed and breakfast
We presume you arrive from Milan. If you arrive by car from Milan the best way is:
motorway A1 (direction BOLOGNA), just after FIDENZA before PARMA take motorway A15 as for as LA SPEZIA.
Before LA SPEZIA, take motorway A12 (direction LIVORNO) as for as PISA CENTRO. When you get off at PISA CENTRO take the freeway S.G.C. FIRENZE.
Go out at PONTEDERA / PONSACCO and take the road to VOLTERRA, after about 13 Km you will find the sign TERRICCIOLA.
Consider that from Milan to Pisa Centro it takes 3,5 hours. From Pisa to Terricciola about 50 minutes.


If you arrive from BOLOGNA the best way is:
motorway A1 (direction FIRENZE / ROMA), just after FIRENZE NORD you must get off at FIRENZE SIGNA.
After payment take the freeway SGC PISA / LIVORNO. Go out at PONTEDERA and take the road to VOLTERRA, after 10 Km you will find the sign TERRICCIOLA.
Consider that from Bologna to Firenze / Signa it takes 1 hour (if not bouchon).
From Firenze / Signa to Terricciola about 1 hour. Get into the village and ask for VIA DEL MONTE.
