Bed and Breakfast Il Girasole

Our cottage is immersed in the heart of Tuscany countryside. It has rooms which are furnished in a fresh and functional way. They have got private bathrooms which have been built recently too.

The car park, the garden, the entrance and the balcony are completely independent and at the guest disposal.

When the season is fine and it's possible, you can have breakfast on the terrace or in the garden relax and lie in the sun.

The garden is very wide. It's also a safe space for the couples who have got babies. In fact the children can play and amuse themselves while their parents are preparing something to eat on the barbecue or in the wood-burning oven.

In the coldest months breakfast is served in a warm and comfortable hall.

Our B & B is always open during the year. You can get in touch with us freely in every period, also for having only information ad explaining your curiosities to know better our land and culture.

Our B & B is in the heart of the most famous, naturalistic and artistic tourist sites, such as: Vinci, at a distance of 6 Km.; Padule di Fucecchio (it's a longed for destination for the nature lovers) at Km. 3; Montecatini, Monsummanto and their thermal baths at Km. 11; Collodi (Pinocchio's country) at a distance of 20 Km.

It's at a distance of one Kilometre from the ancient Via Francigena too. This one is a very famous street; in the past it was an itinerary of the history, a principal street the connected Canterbury by Rome. For this reason it was covered by thousand of pilgrims who wanted to reach Rome.

How to reach the bed and breakfast

You have to cover the toll motorway A 11 Firenze - Lucca, to exit at Montecatini Terme toll booter, to follow the rood sign towards to Fucecchio. After going beyond Monsummano Terme and always following the road sign to Fucecchio, after Km 13° (it's reported very well), you have to turn to the left. You are in Via Cerbaia. After about 1500 metres on the right there is "IL GIRASOLE" sign, our B & B, with its Italian flag and European flag.

You have to turn and after few metres of a short countryside street you are in front of our  B & B.

How to book: 

For any booking, you have to confirm by E-mail and give us an account of 30% of the whole agreed sum.

Iris: This room has got a private entrance and a personal bathroom. It's the most silent and solitary room. It's in the North. From its window you can notice Montalbano and the ancient Hamlets of Montevettolini, Cecina and Rospigliosi's villa with its typical trees avenue

bindweed: On the edge of the wall of this room, De Donno, an Italian painter, has left the signs of her stay in our B & B. In fact she has painted a subject representing the memory of her Lecce's stones which are wrapped by this simple and particular local flower. From the terrace of this sunny room you can admire the slope of Montalbano. On this mountain there is the famous stone Museum of Leonardo that appears very clear among Vinci, the typical country where this big man was born. If you look to the southern side you can note Medici's villa that is in Cerreto Guidi.

Ivy: This confortable, warm and sunny room surprises for the strangeness of its light-blue finishing touches which recall the strange colour of the ivy leaves on the tapestry. Through it you can accede to the terrace that is over our B & B garden. On the west side you can admire the wonderful view of Pisa's mountains, which offer suggestive sunsets to you.
