I Pianelli

Gentle plains wind their way through rolling hills, across an expanse of vegetation strewn with olive trees, vines, solitary cypress trees and dense woodland.

The interplay between colour and light and the assortment of terrains engender striking panoramas and breathtaking views.

Nestling in these peaceful surroundings, close to ancient villages and country houses, lies I Pianelli an ancient country dwelling, today used as farmstay accommodation.

Every detail has been taken care of, with choice fittings and furnishings for our comfortable and elegant apartments.

Outside, among the age-old olives and plant life, there is a recreational area with a swimming pool looking out onto the surrounding hills and a playground for children.

Bicycles are available for excursions and short errands to the nearby shops, sports facilities and stables.

We are handly placed for easy access to the wonderful artistic and cultural sights of the area, such as the many medieval towns, hamlets and castles.

How to reach the bed and breakfast

Besides driving, you can get to I Pianelli on public transport: there is a bus stop about 1 km from our door. The nearest train stations are Monteroni d’Arbia and Buonconvento (about 10 minutes by car).

The nearest airport is Florence (approx. 1 hour by car).

Other convenient airports are Pisa and Rome (approx. 2% hours by car).

By Car

GPS Coordinates: North 43° 10. 714’

From the North: take the A1 motorway towards Rome, exit at Firenze-Certosa and continue towards Siena. Proceed along the E78 for approximately 14 kilometres going towards Grosseto, until you reach the junction on the left-hand side for Fontazzi, Casciano Cassia. Take this turning and continue towards Vescovado di Murlo for 10 kilometres, until you come to the sign for I Pianelli. which you will find on your right.

From the South: take the A1 motorway towards Milan, exit at Chiusi Chianciano and continue towards Montepulciano-Pienza as far as San Quirico d’Orcia. Proceed towards Siena for approximately 30 kilometres, until you reach the junction on the left-hand side for Vescovado di Murlo, Fontazzi Grosseto. Take this turning and continue for 9 kilometres following the signs for Casciano, until you come to the sign for I Pianelli, which you will find on your left.

How to book: As soon as you receive confirmation, avability, you may make your booking, whichyou nust confirm by depositing 30% of the total within a week of the confirmed date. Payment may be made by credit card o bank draft. For which we will send you all references. The remaining 70% can be paid during your stay.

La Loggia: is on the first and has the following rooms: a kitchen/dining-room, a bathroom, two double bedrooms with double bed.

Gli Archi: is on the first floor and has the following rooms: a kitchen, a bathroom, a dining- room with sofa- bed, a double bedroom with double bed.

I Girasoli: is on the second floor and has the following rooms: a kitchen-dining room , three double bedrooms with double bed, two bathrooms.

Studio: is situated on the ground floor and consists of the following rooms: a kitchen and dining room with sitting area and sofa bed, a double bedroom with double bed, a bathroom with shower as well as a utility room.

Il Gelsomino: is on the first floor and has the following rooms: a living room/kitchen with dishwasher and fireplace, two double bedroom, one with double bed and one with two singles, parlour, bathroom.

Il Focolare: is on the ground floor and has the following rooms: a kitchen, a large living/dining- room with open fire-place, 2 bathrooms, double bedroom with double bed, triple bedroom with double bed and one single.

Besides normal kitchen facilities all appartments contain a TV set and telephone.

Each apartment has its own private outside area with table e chairs.

There is also a communal room with a laundry available for all guests.
