Bed and Breakfast Sole del Sodo

Located under the walls of the old town of Cortona at only 2 km from the center, bed and breakfast "Il Sole del Sodo" take his name from the area in which is located and from the warm sun that brigths everyday and that warm it up during all day from the sunrise to the sunset.
Surrended by olives's camps and dominated by a peacefull atmosphere that marks the valley around, "Il Sole del Sodo" is costituted by an old main house of the end of nineteen century with five duoble rooms and by 6 cousy appartements made cleverly from the old stable.

If you are visiting Cortona in th emiddle of August you could enjoy the Sagra della Bistecca, an important manifestation of the local deliciuos steak tipical of the Valdichiana. After few weeks for 10-15 days in Cortona is the show of the antiquary. Cortona has became for sure one of the most important center for the antiquary dealer.

How to reach the bed and breakfast
Away A1 Firenze-Roma exit Valdichiana follow direction for Cortona-Perugia.
Take the firts exit to Cortona-Foiano.
Make a right going to Foiano and then firts right to Cortona.
All the way until crossing point yuo go forward where it say "Cortona 4 Km".
After 300 metres on our left ther is Il Sole del Sodo.

Included in the price: The price for longer period of time of the Villini is comprensive of a clean up of the place one a week and changes of sheets.

Double bedroom: The five rooms,finestly decorated with a stile that joint some of the classic country to the modern,make the guest been feeling part of a particular atmosphere,also because excentric and unique lamps created during the restoration of the house by Claudia (hostess/owner).
So you could accomodate in the "THE VEILS ROOM" with warm colors like orange, yellow and red, with ligth veils that come down from the baldacchino bed.
The room of Veils dispose, by request, of an adiacent room with two more bed.
Then there is "THE ROOM OF DOVES" ispires by whom used to live there, with a romantic loft bed and a wonderfull fireplace.
"THE ROOM OF THE PAST",with a decoration that remind you of sixtees/seventees decade.
And if you feel up to date why don't you refuge to "THE ZEN ROOM", small but bright, enrich by precious details.
Then also you could choose "THE TREE ROOM", called like that cause duirng the restoration is been found a a fresco with an olive tree, the room is also provide of a terrace.

Villini: The 6 little apparments of "Il Sole del Sodo" were at the time smalls stables ,but now they have been restored carefully,and they became comfortable little apparments. You could enjoy the Villini as for a longer period of time to spend in the beatifull Tuscan landscapes,either for comfortable vacation respecting your privacy.
THE GREEN VILLINO (1 double bed + double sofa bed) overlooks to the wills,and has his own terracce with lots of lights ,is ideal for who likes to have a nice barbeque and enjoying it by the fresh air or in front of the beautifull kitchen.
THE YELLOW VILLINO (1 double bed + double sofa bed)
THE RED VILLINO (2 single bed) the smallest is dotated of an beatifull handmade fireplace.
