In the historic heart of Tuscany and Chianti, in the area surrounding Siena, only 5 km away from Colle Val d'Elsa, Casole d'Elsa and Monteriggioni, not far from the places steeped in art and history, such as San Gimignano and Volterra, as well as Siena and Florence, perched on the top of a hill, you can find Mensanello, an agricultural village, our farm-house.
In the midst of rolling hills richly cultivated with sunflowers, wine and olives, the ancient country houses of Mensanello are surrounded by ever changing colours. You can spend any number of peaceful moments: choose among our swimming pool, a walk through the nearly woods and forests, a trip to the hot springs or alternatively to the seaside.

We also have a huge swimming pool in the central part of the farm situated in a picturesque area. In our small restaurant, in a warm and familiar atmosphere, all our products are on display and you can sample then. Is it the perfect occasion to meet people and enjoy a glass of good wine.

Firenze

This is a city of tremendous artistic, cultural and historic wealth. Florentia is the cradle of the Italian Renaissance and holds unique artistic treasures. The streets and lanes bring Dante's poetry and the atmosphere of the past to mind. The historical central area is formed by Piazza del Duomo and the church of Santa Maria del Fiore with Giotto's bell tower and the Baptistry standing beside it.

San Gimignano

It is known for its Vernaccia wine and towers and is built on a hill which dominates the Elsa Valley. Its history started around the 10th century and it was named after the Holy Bishop of Modena: San Gimignano, who is said to have saved the town from the barbaric hordes.

Siena
(17 Km)
It stands in the heart of Tuscany and has managed to keep its characteristic medieval appearance intact, with its narrow streets and noble palaces set in a beautiful hilly landscape. Undisputed symbol of the city is the Mangia tower which overlooks the famous Piazza del Campo where the Palio has been held for centuries.

Volterra

Volterra is almost completely enclosed by its 13th century city walls and is centred on the ancient church of Santa Maria in Piazza dei Priori. At the end of August it hosts a Medieval Festival which is set in 1398, and at the beginning of the month it holds the noteworthy "Volterra Jazz" Festival.

Colle di Val d'Elsa

It stands on the Francigene road, the medieval pilgrims' route from Northern Europe to Rome, and is a pleasant record of the Lands of Arnolfo di Cambio. Now it is known for producing crystal both for Italy and for the rest of the world.

Casole d'Elsa
(7 Km)
Casole d'Elsa is an ancient Etruscan settlement, it is set on the top of a hill and provides the visitor with a wonderfully suggestive view. Inside the 13th century city walls the town stands silently in the hills where olives, vines and grain are cultivated.

Monteriggioni
(7 Km)
Audacious and dominating. Fascinating and poetic. Monteriggioni crowns itself with towers. Dating from 1210, it is one of the most classic and noteworthy fortified Italian towns and has 14 towers and 2 gates: Porta Franca, leading towards Siena and Porta San Giovanni, leading towards Florence.

Rates.

Our guests are welcomed in one of the 12 apartments in the central part of the village or in one of the country houses.
All have been completely and recently renovated preserving their individuality but with every modern comfort.
Each apartment is composed of a living room with a fully equipped kitchen, one or two bathrooms and one or more bedrooms depending on the size. All the apartments have an independent entrance, a space outside with garden chairs and table and a parking place close by.
